Celebrate America’s Independence Day at the City of Fort Lauderdale’s free 4th of July Spectacular!
The Independence Day Celebration will feature a patriotic extravaganza in Las Olas Oceanside Park and on Fort Lauderdale Beach featuring live bands, a kids zone, beach games, contests, family activities, and a dazzling fireworks display. The kids zone provides nonstop energy and excitement with plenty of music, inflatable water slides, face painting, and a variety of other amusing beach games. As the sun goes down, the celebration heats up with live music and entertainment. Get ready to turn back time and turn up the volume as we welcome the “I Love the 90’s Tour” with a powerhouse lineup of hip-hop legends!
Kicking things off is Young MC, whose Grammy-winning hit “Bust a Move” became a defining anthem and still gets everyone dancing. Then comes Tone Loc, known for his signature raspyvoice and chart-topping party hits like “Wild Thing” and “Funky Cold Medina.” Next up is Rob Base, whose electrifying track “It Takes Two” revolutionized rap and dance music and remains a party essential to this day. And closing out the night is none other than Vanilla Ice, the artist who made history with “Ice Ice Baby,” which was the first hip-hop single to top the Billboard Hot 100. Together, these trailblazing artists promise an explosive night of nostalgia, rhythm, and pure Fourth of July energy!
After the sun sets all eyes will turn toward the sky for the City’s spectacular fireworks show on Fort Lauderdale Beach at 8:45 p.m. This dazzling pyrotechnic display is an annual favorite of children and adults of all ages!
