DESCRIPTION:The entire history of music is filled with passing on what we l
 ove to the next generation—putting great music into the hands of tomorro
 w's music makers\, and letting them make it their own. Four outstanding un
 dergraduate conducting students from across the country will have the oppo
 rtunity to showcase their talent with the world-class Symphony of the Amer
 icas\, performing a program of American classical and popular works for st
 ring orchestra. After a competitive application process\, a panel of three
  guest judges—along with the audience\, who will serve as the fourth jud
 ge—will help The Symphony select its first-ever Conducting Competition w
 inner\, who will receive a cash prize and a paid opportunity to perform in
