DESCRIPTION:Step into a stylish journey through time as History Fort Lauder
 dale presents “En Vogue: A Florida Fashion Retrospective\,” a new free
  exhibition featuring historic photographs\, garments and accessories popu
 larized throughout the 20th century. The showcase invites visitors to expl
 ore how clothing reflected and influenced cultural change and everyday lif
 e. The exhibition will be on view from March 5 through April 19.\n\nThroug
 h archival images and period fashion\, “En Vogue: A Florida Fashion Retr
 ospective” explores how clothing reflected changing societal norms\, cul
 tural influences\, and evolving identities across a century. The exhibitio
 n features photographs from iconic\, historic South Florida retail locatio
 ns such as Hartley's - Miami and Fort Lauderdale (located in the old Sunri
 se Shopping Center\, now Galleria Fort Lauderdale)\, and Margo Fashions an
 d Dagmar Fashions on Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale.\n\nFrom elegan
 t Edwardian silhouettes to the refined glamour of mid-century style and ev
 en over-the top ‘90s style\, the exhibition highlights fashion as both p
 ersonal expression and historical record.\n\nSupport for History Fort Laud
 erdale’s “En Vogue: A Florida Fashion Retrospective” exhibit has bee
 n provided by the following Funds at the Community Foundation of Broward: 
 Jan and Ed Crocker Unrestricted Fund\, Leo M. and Alice J. Rutten Fund\, a
 nd The Frederick A. DeLuca Foundation Broward Community Fund. Additional f
 unding is provided\, in part\, by Broward County Board of County Commissio
 ners as recommended by the Broward County Cultural Council and Visit Laude
 rdale.\n\nHistory Fort Lauderdale offers a variety of engaging multicultur
 al experiences throughout the year. It seeks to bring awareness to the com
 munity through both traveling exhibits and multiple permanent displays inc
 luding “Women Trailblazers\,” “Fort Lauderdale – the Early Years\,
 ” “Roots of Resilience: The Journey of Black Broward\,” “From Dugo
 uts to Dream Yachts: The Story of Boatbuilding Along the New River\,” 
 “Seminole Arts &amp\; Culture\,” “New River Archaeology\,” “Viva
  Fort Lauderdale: Celebrating Hispanic Art &amp\; Culture\,” “The Grow
 th and History of the Broward County Sheriff’s Office\,” and “Take P
 RIDE\, a Retrospective on LGBTQ Life in South Florida.”\n\nHistory Fort 
 Lauderdale is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.\, with docent-
 guided tours offered daily at 1\, 2\, and 3 p.m. Group walking tours are a
 vailable upon special request. Admission is $15 for adults\; $12 for senio
 rs\; and $7 for students (through age 22 with a valid student ID). Admissi
 on is free for members\, military personnel\, and children aged six and un
