Downtown Himmarshee will host Second on Second, a recurring meet-and-mingle occurring the second Thursday of every month on Second Street. Neighbors on the 200 block of Southwest Second Street—Tarpon Bend Food and Tackle, Limoncello Italian Trattoria, T Mex, Himmarshee Bar & Grille’s Side Bar, Coyote Ugly and Briny’s Irish Club—are teaming up for this new event, which benefits the Riverwalk Trust.
Admission to the indoor/outdoor get-together is just $10 and includes a free drink at each of the 6 participating establishments. Live music by acoustic pop player Jeff Durham and an ever-changing collection of artists and entertainment presented by ArtServe will entertain guests as they socialize and network in some of Downtown Fort Lauderdale’s most popular bars.
In addition to unbeatable drink specials and music, a wide variety of street artists, from graffiti to charcoal to canvas to jewelry and clothing to performance will be on hand each month to showcase and sell their works. All are members of ArtServe, the Fort Lauderdale-based non-profit consortium that creates cultural experiences for artists and the community, particularly appropriate in Downtown Fort Lauderdale’s trendy arts and entertainment district.
